Welcome to the weekend, ladies.
It is less than one week until we write history together at the world’s largest virtual gathering of woman-identifying freelancers! We’ll be working hard on the final details next week, which also involves trying out custom cocktail recipes crafted just for us, by five female distillers from the Women’s Cocktail Collective, curated by the brilliant Heather Manley of Crooked Water Spirits. These alchemical women will be shaking a cocktail for us LIVE at our Remix party at the end of Reignite, but we wanted to get you the recipes in advance so you can shop for ingredients, and maybe even do a taste test before the main event. Now let’s take a look at the recipes.
1. Morning Glory
2oz Crooked Water Spirits – Sundog Gin, a New American Gin
2oz Square One cocktail mixer, Pink Daisy
Dash of rhubarb or orange bitters
Directions:
Shaken hard over ice and served up martini style with a lemon or orange twist.

2. New World Whisky Sour
2oz Crooked Water Spirits – Regatta Rye Whisky, rum cask finished
3oz Square One cocktail mixer, Lively Lemon
.5oz Square One cocktail mixer, Spicy Ginger
Dash of orange bitters
Directions:
Pour on the rocks and stir, that easy.

3. Goodnight, My Dear
1oz Crooked Water Spirits Old Hell Roaring Double Barreled Bourbon
1oz Sia Scotch
2 tsp maple syrup
1 Dash Angostura
2 dashes chocolate bitters
Orange peel garnish
Directions:
In rocks glass with a large cube, combine all ingredients except garnish. Stir briefly, express orange peel over cocktail and then garnish with peel.

4. Bergerac
1oz Pomp & Whimsy Gin Liqueur
1oz Cognac Sia Scotch or Crooked Water Spirits Old Hell Roaring Double Barreled Bourbon OR ½ oz of each!
Dash Orange Bitters
Directions:
Combine in a mixing glass or shaker with ice. Stir well to chill. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garish with a lemon peel and sprig of rosemary.

5. Mod Fashioned
1.5oz Gin
1/2oz Pomp & Whimsy Gin Liqueur
1/2oz Simple Syrup
Dash of grapefruit bitters
Directions:
Build over ice in a double old fashioned glass. Garnish with an oversized twist of grapefruit.

6. Blood Orange Manhattan
1.5 parts Crooked Water Spirits – Old Hell Roaring Double Barreled Bourbon
1 part pür•likör spice, blood orange liqueur
3 dashes angostura bitters
Directions:
Stir ingredients with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into a cocktail glass.

7. The Botanist
1oz pür•likör elderflower liqueur
1oz Crooked Water Spirits – Sundog Gin, a New American Citrus Gin
1oz lime juice
ginger beer
edible flowers, for garnish
Directions:
Stir ingredients with ice in a collins glass. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wheel and edible flowers.

8. Off to the Races
1.5 part pür•likör williams pear liqueur
1.5 parts Crooked Water Spirits - Kings Point Port Cask Finished Straight bourbon
8-10 mint leaves
crushed ice
Directions:
In a highball glass gently muddle the mint. Fill the glass with cracked ice, add bourbon and pear liqueur. Stir well until the glass is well frosted. Garnish with a mint sprig.

9. Fall Snap
1.5 oz. Square One Botanical
.5 oz. Crooked Water Regatta Rye whiskey, rum cask finished
.5 oz. Pür Likör Blood Orange Spice
Directions:
Stirred, served up with a pear slice or orange twist as garnish.
